Christmas is set to sparkle at Telford Ice Rink this December, with a packed programme of festive skating sessions for families and friends.
From skating with Santa to festive jumpers, a Christmas disco and Christmas Eve family sessions, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy time together on the ice in the lead up to Christmas.
Christmas jumper weekend
12 & 13 December 2026
Festive knits take centre stage for Christmas jumper weekend. Skaters wearing a Christmas jumper can receive 10% off their public skate ticket, while Telford residents with a TLC card can receive an additional 10% discount.
Skate with Santa
12, 13, 18, 19, 20 & 24 December 2026
Santa will be making a special appearance on the ice during selected sessions, adding some extra Christmas magic to a festive family outing.
The programme also includes a family disability session on Friday 18 December.
Schools out disco

The start of the Christmas holidays will be celebrated with a Schools Out Disco, featuring festive music, lights and plenty of skating.
Christmas Eve family skate

Families can take to the ice together on Christmas Eve, offering an active way to spend time together before Christmas Day.
A special family skate ticket is available for £30.

Families can enjoy Jack and the Beanstalk at Telford Theatre’s pantomime at Telford International Centre, explore Telford Festive Gardens at Telford Town Park, browse for Christmas gifts at Telford Centre and visit the Christmas Market in Southwater.
The day can be rounded off with a Christmas meal at one of Southwater’s restaurants, making it easy to combine skating, shopping, entertainment and festive food in one visit.
