A year to remember: Telford’s 2026 programme announced

Telford is set to host a packed programme of events throughout 2026, with a full calendar of family‑friendly, cultural and outdoor experiences taking place from spring through to winter.

Running from April to December, the programme features a mix of much‑loved returning favourites and brand‑new events, showcasing parks, heritage sites and outdoor spaces across the borough. Visitors can look forward to everything from large‑scale festivals and community celebrations to walking events and seasonal attractions.
 

Spring into St George’s Day
25 April 2026 – Telford Town Park
A free, family‑friendly celebration featuring performances, activities and entertainment.

NEW: Embers Fire Festival
2–3 May 2026 – Dale End Park, Ironbridge
A brand‑new event for 2026, combining fire cooking, live performance and family‑friendly foodie fun in the heart of Ironbridge.

Telford Walk Week
25–31 May 2026 – Various locations
A week of guided walks and activities encouraging people of all ages to explore local routes and enjoy the outdoors.

Armed Forces Family Fun Day
28 June 2026 – Broadoaks Playing Field, Donnington
A community celebration recognising the Armed Forces, with parades, displays, stalls and entertainment.

NEW: Telford Krazy Races
12 July 2026 – Telford Town Park
Making its Telford debut, this high‑energy soapbox race brings creative builds, friendly competition and plenty of family fun.

Telford Film Festival
Summer 2026 – Various locations
A celebration of film, featuring big‑screen favourites, sing‑alongs and special events. Full details will be announced later in the year.

Telford Balloon Fiesta
28–30 August 2026 – Telford Town Park
One of the Borough’s signature events, featuring hot air balloons, live entertainment, food, activities and the popular Friday night glow.

Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Festival
September 2026 – Ironbridge Gorge
A celebration of arts, culture and heritage set within one of the UK’s most iconic historic landscapes.

Telford Day
29 November 2026 – Southwater
A town‑centre celebration bringing communities together with entertainment, activities and events.

Festive Gardens
December 2026 – Telford Town Park
A festive favourite transforming the park into an illuminated winter garden, creating a magical seasonal experience for all ages.
