A year of events returns to Telford and Wrekin in 2027

With another successful summer of events drawing thousands of visitors to the Borough, many of Telford and Wrekin's most popular events are confirmed to return in 2027. 

Throughout 2026, residents and visitors have enjoyed a packed programme of events celebrating culture, heritage, wellbeing and community spirit. Highlights have included Spring into St George's Day, Embers Fire Festival, Telford Walk Week, Armed Forces Family Fun Day, Telford Krazy Races, performances at the Telford Town Park Amphitheatre and the spectacular Telford Balloon Fiesta.

Planning is already underway for a full programme of events in 2027, bringing another year of family favourites, outdoor experiences and community celebrations to destinations across the Borough.

Events continue to play an important role in showcasing everything that makes Telford and Wrekin a great place to visit, from vibrant town centres and award winning parks to heritage attractions and open spaces. The 2026 spring and summer programme attracted more than 60,000 visitors across nine events in just five months, highlighting the growing appeal of the destination's events calendar.

Before looking ahead to 2027, there is still plenty to enjoy this year. Telford Day will take place in the Ironbridge Gorge this November, bringing communities together in one of the Borough's most iconic settings.

The festive season will also see the return of a range of seasonal attractions, including Festive Gardens in Telford Town Park and Jack and the Beanstalk at Telford International Centre as part of the Telford Theatre on Tour programme while refurbishment works continue at Telford Theatre.
