About

Our canoe hire, sit-on-top kayak hire, mega stand up paddle board hire and mini-raft hire all start up river.  We provide all the equipment including the free shuttle up to your starting point from Ironbridge.

Our full day canoe hire and sit-on-top kayak hire runs from Atcham to Jackfield. You can paddle the 16 miles in 5½-6 hours but we allow up to 7 hours which gives you time to picnic along the way.

We also offer a shorter route on our canoe hire and sit on top kayak hire, mega stand up paddle board hire and mini-raft hire. The 8½ mile route can be paddled in as little as 2½-3 hours but we allow you up to 4 hours.  This gives you time to enjoy the beautiful Shropshire countryside and enjoy a picnic break as you float along.

On both routes you get to paddle underneath the world famous iron bridge before finishing your trip in Jackfield.

We have set trip times for the 16 mile full day hire at 9am and the shorter course of 8½ miles at 10.30am and 11.30am.  After parking your vehicle in the Ironbridge Central/Station Yard long stay pay and display car park (TF8 7JP), which costs £4 for full day parking, we provide a safety talk before transporting you up river to the start point in our free minibus shuttle. We will fit you with a buoyancy aid, paddle and dry bag and make sure you get onto the river safely.

Watch out for wildlife along the way including wagtails, swans, egrets, kingfishers and even deer on the old power station site as you head into Ironbridge. Paddle under the world famous iron bridge before finishing your trip in the pretty village of Jackfield.

At the end of your trip you have a 10 minute walk back to your vehicle in the Ironbridge Central/Station Yard car park or enjoy a relaxing and well deserved drink at the Black Swan pub just 30 seconds away!

New for this year is our one hour coracle hire. Coracles are part of the rich history of Ironbridge. Whilst the single person coracles can be difficult to paddle, our large bamboo circular coracles are paddled by 2 people.  Perfect for a potter about on the river!

Come join us as one of your things to do in Ironbridge.
