Telford’s annual Balloon Fiesta returns to Telford Town Park this August Bank Holiday.

Activities and events will take place throughout the weekend in the park’s QEII Arena. We look forward to welcoming visitors for a weekend packed with family entertainment, live performances and spectacular hot air balloons.

Telford Balloon Fiesta – Night Glow

Friday 28 August | 5–10pm

The weekend begins with a bang as the skies light up for our much-loved Night Glow. This ticketed evening event is bursting with family-friendly activities and entertainment all building up to the breathtaking glow of illuminated balloons set to music.

There’ll be stage shows, live acts and plenty to see and do before the main event and the events team are lining up even more surprises this year, so arrive early and make the most of it.

Telford Balloon Fiesta Weekender

Saturday 29 - Sunday 30 August | 12–7pm

Enjoy two full days of free entertainment in the QEII Arena, with aerial displays, live music, family activities and plenty to see and do throughout the day.

Look to the skies at 12 noon as the Wings Parachute Team drops into the arena, and enjoy gravity-defying performances from the thrill-seeking Stanage Stunt Team. Visitors will also be able to see balloon tethering demonstrations throughout the weekend.

There are plenty of attractions to enjoy on the ground too, including:

• Kids Zone
• Live music performances
• Circus workshops and family activities
• Food and drink vendors
• Craft and market stalls

For young families and nursing mothers, The Montessori Rainbow will be providing a calm and comfortable space for feeding, changing and taking a well-deserved break.

The event is completely free, so bring your family and friends along for a fantastic weekend of entertainment in the sky and on the ground.

Telford Community Carnival Day

Sunday 30 August I 12 - 7pm 

Alongside the Balloon Fiesta on Sunday, the vibrant Telford Community Carnival Day will take place across the QEII Arena and Southwater.

The event will feature:

• Community parade and showcase
• Dance performances
• Drop-in workshops

Celebrate local talent, culture and creativity as the park comes alive with community spirit.

Hot Air Balloon launches

Hot Air Balloon launches will take place both at 6am and 6pm- dependent on the weather with the final decision made by the Flight Director.

Telford Aerial Adventure will be open in Telford Town Park during Telford Balloon Fiesta weekend so if you wanted to pop over and climb high on the ropes course the team would be happy to see you.
