The Woodbridge Inn Coalport

About

The Woodbridge Inn is located on the banks of the River Severn in the world famous Ironbridge Gorge and just a stones through away from major attractions, museums and artisan shopping that are such a lure for visitors to the Gorge. The inn also sits at the heart of the Gorge's great outdoors, located close to a range of cycle trails and walking routes.

Named after the wooden bridge that once connected the pub to the village of Coalport on the opposite bank, this heritage pub dates back to 1785.

The Woodbridge is one of the most popular gastro pubs in the area, with visitors flocking in Summer to bask on the waterfront with a cooling drink while in Autumn and Winter the Inn's open fires and cosy corners make it the perfect place to escape to.

Whether your looking for a lazy lunch, a real ale with friends, a prosecco with the girls or a Sunday lunch gathering, the Woodbridge is the perfect setting with cosy corners and nooks to squirrel away in, open plan areas full of buzz and outside a panoramic view from the large elevated decking area leading to the lush beer garden, one of the biggest and most scenic in the area.

The Woodbridge are passionate about finding quality fresh ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way. With a spine of classic British dishes on the menu complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world, visitors will find everything from fresh and zingy starters and salads, to classic main courses and creative seasonal dishes to the best of Sunday brunch. lunch and dinners.
