This basketmaking course introduces participants to the tools and techniques of the heritage craft of willow weaving.

During the workshop, participants are shown how to make their own shallow round basket, suitable for storing bread or fruit. The session covers each stage of the process, including making a round base, staking up the basket, weaving the sides, and turning down the border.

The course is suitable for complete beginners, as well as those with some previous experience in willow weaving. Clear guidance is provided throughout, allowing participants to develop practical skills while gaining an understanding of traditional basketmaking methods.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will take home their finished shallow round basket.
