Christmas at Ironbridge Gorge Musuems

It's beginning to look at a Victorian Christmas at Ironbridge Gorge Museums as they gear up to welcome visitors to their festive events next month. There is a jammed packed schedule with an event or activity to suit all the family including:

25 & 26 November and 2 & 9 December 2022
Jackfield Winter Tile Decorating Workshops
The ever popular Tube-Lined Tile Decorating Workshops are returning to Jackfield Tile Museum this Winter. Learn and apply the traditional technique of tube-lining as you decorate your very own ceramic tile. Create an outline using clay slip, then fill the gaps with an array of wonderful coloured glazes. Once you've finished your tile it'll be dried and fired in a kiln at over 1000°C; collect your tile from the museum after a few days or arrange to have it posted to your home. Workshops cost £10.75 per person and must be pre-booked.

Blists Hill Victorian Town Christmas Lates

Soak up the atmosphere and explore Blists Hill Victorian Town in all of it's festive splendour - after dark!

Wander through the historic streets, lit by heritage lamps and festooned with garlands, swags and wreaths. Enjoy a host of festive food and entertainment from magicians and musicians, including a brass band, as well as the chance to peruse the unique range of gifts in the Town's shops, while sipping a glass of mulled wine. 

There will be plenty of festive food options available throughout the evening too. 

The Victorian towns much-loved residents will also be on-hand to provide some Christmas cheer - with a Victorian twist, of course.

Blists Hill Victorian Christmas Weekends

Blists Hills streets and exhibits will be decorated for the festive season and brought to life by the Victorians busily preparing for the big day!

Soak up the festive atmosphere as you listen to the carol singers and brass bands, pick up a tasty treat from one of the shops and walk through the streets filled with falling snow. Browse unique gifts in the festive emporium, enjoy a pantomime in the Big Top and see Father Christmas in his Grotto!

Coalbrookdale Winter Wonderland Grotto
The popular Winter Wonderland Grotto will be returning to Coalbrookdale this Christmas.

Explore the enchanted forest as you search for Santa and his Elves. Take a selfie amongst the twinkling trees, and enjoy music and entertainment whilst you wait for the big man. Make sure to think about what you'll say to Santa, and how you'll thank him for his generous gift!

As an additional treat, everyone visiting Santa will receive a voucher entitling them to half price entry to Enginuity on the day of their visit. Please note that your grotto visit may fall outside of Enginuity's opening hours.
