With the autumn equinox falling on 22 of September this year, where else is better to watch the transformation from the warmth and abundance of summer to the crisp, golden hues of the fall, than within the Attingham Estate.

Open throughout the year, Attingham offers a range of activities to explore the season, from Nordic Walking, to Photography, to Attingham’s School of Magic half-term trail. Along with the Mansion, the Walled Garden and the Deer Park, there really is something for everyone.

The change in season brings about a metamorphosis in the nature around us. Gone are the long days and green leaves. In are the vibrant colours and dynamic night skies. Attingham offers visitors a chance to take it all in as we head towards the winter.

All the activities at Attingham have been designed to make the most of the season. Take in a walk around the estate with our free Attingham Walking Group or Nordic Walking with WALX (additional charges apply). Dust off your camera and Join Lindsey for his photography workshop discovering the autumnal gems there is to offer this time of year (additional charges apply). Or enrol in the Attingham School of Magic for our half-term trail that runs from the 18 October until the 2 November, your magical journey beginning in the Walled Garden, where six exciting lessons await (£3 per trail with an activity pack upon completion). Further details available at Events at Attingham Park

Along with an extensive list of outdoor activities, there is also the chance to celebrate the launch of the National Trust’s new book ‘100 Things to Wear’. The Mansion at Attingham will be showcasing two rare garments from its collection that are featured in the book. On display in the Boudoir, visitors can see Lady Teresa Berwick’s Fortuny cloak, designed in Venice, and a striking striped suit dating from the 1780’s, once worn by Thomas, 8th Baron Berwick. The Mansion is open daily 11:am-3:30pm.

Attingham Park is open 8am till 5:30pm, last entry 5pm. Normal admission charges apply, free for National Trust members. Make the most of autumn and plan your visit today.
