Join one of the most popular National Trust properties as their launched programme of activities will keep everyone in the family occupied over the festive period. From the beautifully decorated Mansion, music on the Bandstand and the family Christmas Trail ‘Where’s my Reindeer?’, there truly is something for everyone. And don’t forget a visit to Sunnycroft, where visitors can step into a spellbinding journey where pantos collide and Father Christmas is waiting for you.

A visit to the Mansion is a must every year, with this one being no different. Look out as you make your way round and take in the traditions that make up ‘A Very Attingham Christmas’, a showcase of the most memorable traditions from years gone by. With greenery, the sparkle of fairy lights, and baubles galore, discover how the season was marked in style. In the Basement, step behind the scenes to see the servants getting ready for the family Christmas. With kitchens bustling, tables laid, and preparations in full swing, glimpse the excitement, work, and anticipation that shaped Christmas below stairs. Don’t forget to book your timed slot at Buy Attingham Christmas in the Mansion Tickets online - National Trust for entry. Charges apply for non-members.

This Christmas, Attingham’s own Walled Garden cats, Scrap and Fig, need your help. Father Christmas’s reindeer have gone missing, and the two curious cats are determined to solve the mystery of the missing reindeer. Families can set out on the trail following the route along the Mile Walk and into the Walled Garden. Along the way you’ll uncover clues, solve puzzles, and spot festive surprises hidden in the wintry landscape. Get your trail storybooks from Visitor Reception and make your way around Attingham, helping Father Christmas to find his reindeer.

The Outer Courtyard will have a new twist this year with fantastic vintage game stalls from RJ Lakin for visitors to enjoy (charges apply), and The Attingham Bandstand. Centre stage and festively decorated, the Bandstand will be hosting bands, choirs and performers on selected weekdays outside of school holidays throughout December.

And why not step inside Sunnycroft for a spellbinding Christmas journey where pantos collide, and Father Christmas is waiting for you. Armed with Jack’s magic beans, you’ll journey through the house to follow Jack and the Beanstalk, but in true panto style, a few wrong turns could land you in all sorts of other stories. Meeting Father Christmas is a perfect finale to your Sunnycroft adventure. Enjoy his festive world, share your Christmas wishes and if you happen to still have your magic beans, who knows, Father Christmas might have a plan for them. (Pre-booking essential, £20 per child, £5 per adult, charges for members and non-members)

Nicholas Worthington, Welcome Manager at Attingham Park, said ‘Our festive programme is always a highlight but this year we have crammed so much in that we are bursting with Christmas activities for all.’

‘From trees to music, to mince pies and mulled wine, we have it all. There is always a buzz at Attingham, but this time of year is extra special. We want everyone to enjoy it with us, so book your tickets and get yourself to one of our events.’

Normal admission charges apply, free for National Trust members.
