While the Ironbridge Gorge Museums remain closed during their transition into National Trust care, visitors can still make the most of a day out in the area especially IGMT PASS & PASS PLUS holders, who are being offered free admission to National Trust sites across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Taking place over the Easter bank holiday weekend (3–6 April) and coinciding with local school holidays, there are more than 170 National Trust Easter trails to choose from. Each trail features activities inspired by nature, beauty and history from spotting spring flowers and wildlife to uncovering local stories and legends.
Every trail ends with a chocolate egg, or a vegan and Free From alternative, made in the UK using cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. Trails cost £3.50 per child, plus normal National Trust admission (free for members and National Trust holiday guests).
A special National Trust membership offer (live from 21 March) will also give new members the opportunity to enjoy Easter trails for free. Between Saturday 21 March and Sunday 19 April 2026 (inclusive), new memberships purchased at a National Trust property or online via annual Direct Debit will include a free Easter trails voucher, allowing children under 18 to take part in participating trails an unlimited number of times.
Visitors to Ironbridge can easily extend their day out with nearby National Trust, including Benthall Hall within walking distance of the Gorge and Attingham Park, just a short drive away. Both are hosting Easter trails and offer outdoor family-friendly experiences.
