About
Owen Motoring Club brings the excitement of the AGBO Stages Rally back to Weston Park, continuing a proud tradition that began in the 1960s. Originally a road rally featured in the ‘Motoring News’ Road Rally Championship, the AGBO Rally found its permanent home at Weston Park in 1997 as a single venue stage rally.
Founded in 1959 by motoring enthusiasts from Rubery Owen Ltd, the club has deep roots in British motorsport history. Notably, Sir Alfred Owen invested in Donald Campbell’s land-speed record attempts, with Rubery Owen contributing to the construction of the iconic ‘Bluebird’ car.
Today, the AGBO Rally showcases 80 rally cars from various vintages and eras, tackling challenging stages around Weston Park, including the iconic watersplash. The event is a highlight for motorsport fans and families alike, offering high-octane entertainment in a scenic setting.
In 2024, the AGBO Rally proudly hosts two championships: the AWMMC Heart of England Stage Rally Championship and the HRCR Mini Cup. Sponsored by Land & Estate Maintenance, the rally continues to attract top drivers and enthusiastic spectators.
Whether you're a seasoned rally fan or new to the sport, the AGBO Stages Rally offers a thrilling day out celebrating the spirit of motorsport.
