Join artist and tutor Sophie Woodhouse for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of natural ink-making. Participants will gather bark and berries from the woods and brew them into beautiful, plant-based inks. Using modifiers such as iron water and ash, they will experiment with changing the colours to create a unique palette.

The session includes free drawing and mark-making using twigs, pods and brushes, allowing guests to explore the expressive potential of their handmade inks.

Sophie brings over 25 years of experience in art and craft education, with a passion for connecting creativity and nature. Her practice is rooted in sketching from the natural world and using natural history as inspiration for printmaking and design. She believes that engaging with the landscape, flora and fauna can be both healing and motivating, encouraging a deeper connection with and protection of the environment.
