About
This summer, Weston Park invites families to join resident hares Oli & Nel on a magical outdoor adventure in collaboration with Wild in Art. Oli & Nel’s Hare-Raising Adventure: The Tale of the Lost Lyrebird is an interactive story trail set across 1,000 acres of stunning parkland.
Follow the story of Oli & Nel as they search for a missing lyrebird from the House, guided by clues and helped by a cast of whimsical hare characters including the Listener, the Watcher, the Ranger, the Gardener and the Host. The trail features eight vibrant 6ft hare sculptures, specially selected and painted by artists to complement Weston’s iconic landscape.
The story, created by the Weston Park team, draws inspiration from the whimsical writings of Lady Diana Bridgeman and references estate landmarks such as Temple Pool and Pendrill’s Cave. Lyrebirds are known for mimicking the sounds of their surroundings, adding an extra challenge to the quest.
> Visitors can purchase an activity pack for £2 from the Visitor Welcome Desk. Each chapter of the story is accessed via QR codes on the hare sculptures.
> Book tickets online in advance to receive 10% off standard admission.
