On Sunday 18 September, Wellington will host a unique 'Italian scooter day'- a first for our town and the UK. New Street will be packed with scooters of all types and vintage, with riders coming from as far as Cheshire and Staffordshire to meet up and enjoy local cafes and restaurants. David Morris,
Director of the 'Italian Auto Moto Club' said, ''This event is the first time in the UK that a town has hosted an event purely for scooters on its central streets. It’s great to get enthusiasts to come to meet up in a town setting and help to regenerate the local economy. All the riders and their pillion passengers will be eating and drinking locally, and we are glad to be able to play a part in bringing visitors and new money into this historically important town.”
